Ally started dancing West Coast Swing in 2022 with the Rutgers Swing Club and has been a long-standing regular at UCSwing. She particularly appreciates how WCS has been a platform to consistently learn new things and was drawn in by the friendly and accepting atmosphere of the local community. She primarily follows, but will lead some basics if you ask nicely!

David didn’t dance a single step until he started swing dancing back in 2019. After trying various styles including Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Salsa, he made the decision to to fully dedicate himself to West Coast Swing due to its immense improvisational freedom. David both leads and follows on WCS dance floor.

Sat has been a dancer for most of her life, coming from a background of hip hop and street dance styles when she was younger. She first tried West Coast Swing in early 2023 at UCSwing and has been hooked ever since. You can catch her both following and leading on the dance floor, or circling the dance floor taking pictures and videos for our social media!

Tze’s dance journey began in competitive ballroom and Latin dance, then found his way to contemporary, jazz, and modern dance. Ultimately, in 2019, he discovered West Coast Swing and decided to dedicate his time to it. Tze both leads and follows, finding the flexibility in WCS to be particularly enjoyable and creative due to being able to integrate elements from many different dance styles.
